After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rock Creek Christian Academy White, St. Charles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They snuck past Oakdale with a 61-55 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
St. Charles got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Xavier Buchanan out in front who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Tajir Webster was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
St. Charles' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Oakdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
St. Charles won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Gwynn Park at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th. Gwynn Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 343 points over their last five games. As for Oakdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frederick is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
