Noah Byots Turns in Season-Best Performance
Carlinville was led to victory by Noah Byots, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Byots rushed for 94 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

If history really does repeat itself, Kile might just drop another big game when he faces off against Staunton/Bunker Hill on Friday. Kile threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 45 yards the last time he and the Bulldogs duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Sam Sims Leads Pana over Litchfield/Mt. Olive
Sam Sims produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pana to the win on Friday. Sims picked up 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Litchfield/Mt. Olive's probably not too fond of Sims given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Sims saw the ), he rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also picked up 41 receiving yards.
