Video: Caleb Williams highlights Junior highlights of the newest Oklahoma Sooner commit.
Williams checks in as the top-rated QB on 247Sports composite rankings and is the No. 4 player overall from the Class of 2021. He recently was named MVP of the Elite 11 contest in Nashville, Tenn.
Named to the
Sophomore and
Junior All-American first team in each of the past two seasons, Williams led the Eagles to their first WCAC championship since 2002 during his sophomore season.
He finished that night with six touchdowns and put on one of the best individual performances in high school football history. His sixth and final touchdown came on a
game-winning 53-yard Hail Mary to beat a loaded DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) squad 46-43 in one of the
best games of all-time.
He's been putting up numbers since his freshman season
playing against the best competition in the Washington Catholic Athletic
Conference and, if there is football in the fall, Gonzaga will be in the mix to win another WCAC title.
The 5-star quarterback joins a very talented 2021 recruiting class for the Sooners that includes Plant City's (Fla.) 4-star wide receiver
Mario Williams, Foster's (Richmond, Texas) 4-star wide receiver
Cody Jackson, LBJ Austin's (Texas) 4-star cornerback
Latrell McCutchin, Texas' (Texarkana, Texas) 4-star defensive end
Clayton Smith and Weatherford's (Okla.) 4-star defensive end
Ethan Downs.
