Wheat Ridge is 8-1 against Conifer since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Wheat Ridge Farmers will be playing at home against the Conifer Lobos at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Wheat Ridge lost to Bear Creek on the road by a decisive 50-32 margin. While losing is never fun, Wheat Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Bear Creek is ranked 102nd).
Meanwhile, Conifer's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Eagle Valley, falling 55-18. Conifer has not had much luck with Eagle Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
