Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is East Ridge's Third in Last Four Outings

East Ridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grundy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Golden Wave a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

East Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Grundy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Ridge will welcome Magoffin County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grundy, they will host Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
