Cerro Gordo/Bement got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Hill out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Skye Tieman, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond still got an impressive performance from Claire Seal, who scored eight points along with 20 rebounds. Seal hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games.
Cerro Gordo/Bement's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
Cerro Gordo/Bement will head out on the road to face off against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] is ranked 285th, while Cerro Gordo/Bement is ranked 306th).
