Jessica Granquist, a senior outside hitter for Blaine High School, has been named the inaugural MaxPreps/AVCA Minnesota High School volleyball Player of the Week. Granquist picked up the honor after helping her Bengals squad to a 19-5 record to date, including victories in 13 of their 15 contests.
Through six games last week, the 5-foot-8 offensive sparkplug smashed 27 kills, while also adding three assists, three service aces and one block. In addition, Granquist came to Blaine's aid defensively, racking up 44 digs.
Blaine is coached by Celeste Gorman.
