The Highland Huskies entered their tilt with the Manual Thunderbolts with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Highland took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-6 victory over Manual. Considering Highland has won three matchups by more than 47 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Issac Desantiago, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown. John Bingley was another key contributor, throwing for 83 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes.
Highland's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.67 points. As for Manual, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-5.
Highland will head out on the road to face off against Meeker at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manual does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
