Softball Recap: Dallas Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

Dallas had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt South Albany on Friday. The Dragons blew past the Redhawks 11-1. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Madi Ruman was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Maddi Jones was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kadence Tullock was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Dallas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South Albany, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
