This season hasn't been kind to the Spruce Timberwolves, who are still winless after their 20th contest. They were outmatched by Seagoville at home and fell 78-33. Seagoville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Valdez-Mata out in front who scored 12 points along with two steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Gregory Fossett, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Spruce's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Seagoville, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.
Spruce will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seagoville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Poteet is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
