The Batavia Bulldogs won the last time they faced the New Richmond Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Batavia snuck past New Richmond with a 58-53 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Batavia.
When it comes to explaining why New Richmond lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Wolf. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wolf has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grant Hess, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Batavia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for New Richmond, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Batavia will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for New Richmond, they will take on Clinton-Massie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
