The Seaford Bluejays put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 74-47 win over Delmar at home. Seaford has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seaford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Smith, who scored 24 points along with five assists and five steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Evans, who scored 22 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Seaford pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.91 points. As for Delmar, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seaford the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Laurel at 5:15 p.m. on January 25th. Delmar will take on Woodbridge at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Woodbridge is ranked 34th, while Delmar is ranked 48th).
