North Oconee extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Friday, bumping them up to 2-0. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Dalton Catamounts 56-7. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Catamounts are ranked 177th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jt Doster was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Another back making a difference was Griffin Nau, who rushed for 49 yards and one score.
North Oconee's run defense was locked in: Dalton could only muster 0.7 yards per carry. The Titans didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.8.
