Central Noble is 8-2 against Westview since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Central Noble barely beat Prairie Heights the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 11-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grace Swank made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Central Noble let Kierra Bolen and Kaitlyn Tilley run wild. Bolen went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Tilley went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Tilley has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Deter, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.
Central Noble hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Westview and West Noble had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 21-7 victory on Tuesday.
Janissa Lehman was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Lehman was even better at the plate, going 5-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Ava Gilbert was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Briana Kaufman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Central Noble's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Westview, their record now sits at 4-2.
Central Noble took their win against Westview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
