The South Mountain Jaguars lost against the Fairfax Stampede back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. South Mountain was dealt a 74-36 loss at the hands of the Stampede. South Mountain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Elijah Pablos, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists for Fairfax. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pablos has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Evans, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
South Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Fairfax, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Mountain will take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Metro Tech is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Fairfax, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Stampede like a good challenge.
