Holmes County is 10-0 against Bethlehem since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Holmes County Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Bethlehem Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Holmes County will be strutting in after a victory while Bethlehem will be coming in after a defeat.
Geneva typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Holmes County proved too difficult a challenge. They escaped with a win against the Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60. The win was just what Holmes County needed coming off of a 64-44 loss in their prior game.
Emma Whitaker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Alaysia Robinson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Bethlehem suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 last Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-28 walloping at the hands of Paxton. While losing is never fun, Bethlehem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Paxton is ranked 134th).
Holmes County's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Bethlehem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
Holmes County beat Bethlehem 49-42 in their previous matchup last Monday. Will Holmes County repeat their success, or does Bethlehem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
