The Laurel Golden Tornadoes came tearing into Friday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Stone by a score of 48-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Laurel also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Stone lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isiah Scarbough, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ray Dennis, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Laurel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Stone, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-6.
Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stone also has no future games currently scheduled.
