Hoggard came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the South Brunswick Cougars 61-20. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Hoggard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Fitzgerald led the charge by putting up 11 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Tristan Shivers, who posted ten points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Hoggard was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Brunswick only racked up five assists.

Hoggard pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for South Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Hoggard will host Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoggard's defense has only allowed 23.3 points per game this season, so Laney's offense will have their work cut out for them.
