Basketball Recap: Hayfork Beats Tulelake for Their Fifth Straight Win

Hayfork extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Levi Cavalli. The Hayfork Timberjacks took down the Tulelake Honkers 77-58 on Friday thanks in part to Cavalli, who posted 28 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tatem Wiley, who had 15 points and five steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Hayfork has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Tulelake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayfork will face off against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hayfork's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Tulelake, they will take on Big Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
