Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Goliad Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Panthers on Friday, falling 34-0. Goliad's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Cameron Anderson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 83 yards and two touchdowns for Blanco. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Trevin Young was in the mix too, providing Blanco with two touchdowns.
Goliad's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Blanco, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record.
Goliad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blanco will square off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edna's defense has only allowed 16 points per game this season, so Blanco's offense will have their work cut out for Blanco.
