It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Marquette Catholic Blazers had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They breezed by the Cavaliers on the road to the tune of 59-19. Marquette Catholic has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marquette Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laniah Davis, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Robinson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Marquette Catholic's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Culver Community, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Marquette Catholic will take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oregon-Davis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Blazers are ranked 128th). Culver Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
