Aucilla Christian is 1-9 against Madison County since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Aucilla Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Madison County Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Aucilla Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Aucilla Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Rickards, taking the game 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Caleb Walker tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Wiles, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Aucilla Christian is 6-1 when Wiles posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Hudson Mills also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, everything went Madison County's way against Hamilton County on Thursday as Madison County made off with a 19-4 win. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Eli Underhill and Alden Richie did most of the damage at the plate: Underhill went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Richie scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave Underhill a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Newman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Madison County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win got Madison County back to even at 7-7. As for Aucilla Christian, their record now sits at 8-6.
Madison County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Aucilla Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. It's a different story for Madison County, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Aucilla Christian's hitters?
Aucilla Christian couldn't quite get it done against Madison County in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 5-1. Can Aucilla Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
