Lake Park has gone 9-1 against Conant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lancers will square off against the Cougars at 4:45 p.m. Lake Park will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Lake Park's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Padua Franciscan. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Gianna Furlano tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.3 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Arianna O'Connell was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Grace Rosario also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Lake Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Conant lost 10-3 to Maine West on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.
Ava Falcone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenny Ryan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Lake Park pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average this season. As for Conant, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake Park has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Conant struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Lake Park's way against Conant when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Lake Park made off with a 10-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
