Konley Cova Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Wheatland got the W thanks in part to Konley Cova playing the best football he has all season. Cova's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up three sacks and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).
The victory for Wheatland keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Cova and Wheatland will venture away from home to face off against Marysville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Ogles Made His Presence Known in Oakmont's 28-7 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Beau Ogles stepped things up a notch to give Oakmont the 'W'. Lincoln had no answer to Ogles as he threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Ogles got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.
Oakmont pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Ogles and Oakmont will challenge Mira Loma at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Burns Dazzles in Wheatland Win
Colton Burns was instrumental in extending Wheatland's winning streak to seven on Friday. Mira Loma had no answer to Burns as he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Jaylen Brown Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Marysville got the W thanks in part to Jaylen Brown playing the best football he has all season. Brown rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.
Marysville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Brown and Marysville will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheatland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
