Highland Park is 10-0 against Berkner since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Highland Park posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They blew past MacArthur 67-23 at home. Given Highland Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while MacArthur is ranked 981st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Berkner was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 53-49 to Irving. Berkner has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Highland Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Berkner, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Everything came up roses for Highland Park against Berkner when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 51-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
