The Buhach Colony Thunder will face off against the Modesto Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Buhach Colony took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Madera South get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Madisyn Leard was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous eight matchup, Modesto brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on Downey with a sharp 10-0 win last Thursday. The Panthers not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th (when they won 24-1).
Alyssa Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Ramirez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Modesto's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Buhach Colony has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Modesto, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Buhach Colony's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Buhach Colony got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Modesto by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
