Houlton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Ellsworth Eagles 66-32. One positive for the Shiretowners, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Houlton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ellsworth, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houlton will venture away from home to challenge Old Town at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Ellsworth, they will take on Mount Desert Island at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
