 Strongsville has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record  this season. As for Normandy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
 Strongsville beat Normandy 5-1  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Normandy's  Taylor Leggins, who   struck out 13 batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits.
