Bagdad is 1-9 against San Pasqual Valley since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bagdad Sultans will be playing at home against the San Pasqual Valley Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bagdad's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by Antelope at home to the tune of 38-10. The win was just what Bagdad needed coming off of a 49-5 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, San Pasqual Valley didn't have too much trouble with Ray on the road on Friday as they won 60-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Pasqual Valley.
Kyla Emerson was her usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of San Pasqual Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daeja Villicana, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
The losses dropped Bagdad to 1-4 and Antelope to 0-2.
Bagdad might still be hurting after the 42-22 loss they got from San Pasqual Valley when the teams last played back in January. Can Bagdad avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
