The Salida Spartans can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Manitou Springs 55-29. The win was just what Salida needed coming off of a 72-35 loss in their prior matchup.
Salida found their leader in underclassman Braeden Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Graysa Kindle, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Salida pushed their record up to 5-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Manitou Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salida will take on Colorado Springs Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manitou Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
