In what's become a running theme this season, the Ross Little Giants gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Southview on the road to the tune of 58-20. The win was just what Ross needed coming off of a 61-38 defeat in their prior match.
Southview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Rigg, who scored six points along with three steals. Audrey Huffman was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Ross' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Southview, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ross will challenge Perkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perkins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Ross is ranked 64th). As for Southview, they will head out on the road to face off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Southview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday.
