The Aquinas Blugolds can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 81-53 victory over Holmen on the road. The win was familiar territory for Aquinas who now have six in a row.
Samantha Davis was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 18 games she's played. Madeline Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Aquinas' win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Holmen, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas will take on the Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cotter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 contests -- so hopefully the Blugolds like a good challenge. As for Holmen, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Warriors at 3:00 p.m.
