It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lebanon Tigers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Warriors on Saturday, falling 53-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lebanon has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lebanon struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Danville racked up 17 assists.
Danville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Ancelet, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Davis, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Danville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.
Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Danville and the Sparkplugs will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Speedway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Warriors are ranked 37th).
