The De Kalb Bears had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Chisum 66-6 at home. The result was nothing new for De Kalb, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
De Kalb's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 52 points. As for Chisum, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
De Kalb will head out on the road to face off against Hooks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hooks knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully De Kalb likes a good challenge. As for Chisum, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against New Boston at 7:00 p.m.
