Meanwhile, Catholic Central entered their tilt with Cobleskill-Richmondville with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Catholic Central took their game at home on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 93-54 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville. Catholic Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Darien Moore was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Xavjon Arroyo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists and six steals.
Lansingburgh pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Catholic Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Lansingburgh came up short against Catholic Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 65-59. Can Lansingburgh avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
