The biggest upset of the week belonged to Williams, who took down 172nd ranked Northeast Guilford, 26-12. Christian Miles threw for 128 yards and ran for 66 yards during the win.
Northern Guilford added to the longest winning streak in 3A Conference 10 this week by beating Eastern Guilford, 41-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Nighthawks.
Morehead's dynamic duo of Will Dabbs and Mike Jones proved tough for McMichael to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dabbs threw for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns and Jones had 123 yards receiving. Tyler Dabbs helped Morehead's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 111 yards.
He was 16-22 with 1 interception.
Thanks to the talents of Austin Coltrane and Cj Freeman, Northern Guilford has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Coltrane is tops in the league in passing with 1,123 yards, while Freeman has rushed for 815 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Eastern Alamance's Malik Wilson, with 449 yards on 23 catches.
The Wildcats are in third place, while Western Alamance is in first place.
The Bulldogs scaled the state rankings by moving to 157 from 186 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Williams climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Rams 26-12.
