The Cedar Falls Tigers were successful in their previous meeting against the Xavier Saints, and they didn't afford Xavier any payback this time around. The Tigers enjoyed a cozy 60-42 win over Xavier on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for Cedar Falls, who now has four in a row.
Cedar Falls' victory brought them up to 12-4. Xavier's loss pushed them down to 11-5.
Cedar Falls will square off against Western Dubuque on Friday. Cedar Falls won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Xavier, they will face off against Iowa City next week. The Saints are at home for the contest, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
