Naperville North scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Wheaton-Warrenville South, 21-14. At the time, the Tigers were ranked fourth in the state, while the Huskies were 51st.
Dominic Wilberton of Glenbard East ran for the longest rushing play in DuPage Valley this season against Glenbard North last week. Wilberton's team fell to the Panthers as he sprinted for 78 yards on the play and finished with 211 in all.
Glenbard East's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Wilberton chipped in 211 yards.
Wilberton provided a threat through the air and on the ground as John Walters' team lost to Glenbard North.
Wilberton was a force in the backfield as the Rams fell to Ryan Wilkens' team.
Wilberton was the best running back in the league this week.
Glenbard East's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Drake Pusateri has thrown for 400 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Joey Moore has 14 catches for 140 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Wheaton-Warrenville South and Central. Ron Muhitch's team enters the contest ranked eighth in the state, while the Red Hawks ranks fifth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Tigers take on Central. Wheaton-Warrenville South has allowed 68 points this season, while Mike Stine's team has given up 45. The Tigers allowed 21 points last week as they lost to Naperville North.
Adding to the longest winning streak in DuPage Valley this week, the Red Hawks beat Aurora West 42-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
