DeSales simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Shawnee 41-0. That looming 41-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for DeSales yet.
The victory makes it two in a row for DeSales and bumps their record up to 8-1. Shawnee are still winless on the season and fell to 0-8.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. DeSales will be playing at home against Southern at at 7:30 PM next week. After both of those teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. Shawnee will stay at home against Fort Knox at 7:30 PM. Neither Shawnee nor Fort Knox could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
