Madison Central faced Clinton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Arrows with a sharp 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Madison Central let Steven Lee and Landon Hathorn run wild. Lee got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Hathorn got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Madison Central is undefeated when Hathorn posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Reed Sandberg was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The win was the third in a row for Madison Central, bringing their record up to 11-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.7 runs. As for Clinton, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Central will welcome Florence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Arrows will need to watch out since the Saints have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
