The Eagles have been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Trinity Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1153rd, while the Lions are ranked 297th).
Last Friday, Trinity Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Pantego Christian and fell 11-8.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian entered their tilt with Grace Prep with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Trinity Christian pulled ahead with a 13-12 photo finish over Grace Prep.
Trinity Christian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.3 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
The Eagles were dealt a bruising 51-0 loss at the hands of the Lions when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road?
