The Southside Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shields.
Shields was led to victory by Jalance Kimbrough and Dante Leffall. Kimbrough scored 15 points along with five assists, while Leffall scored 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kimbrough has scored at least 25% of Shields' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Watts, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Southside has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Shields, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Andalusia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southside in Alabama (Andalusia is ranked 63rd, while Southside is ranked 308th).
