Two weeks ago, Cornerstone Academy faced Riverside Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cornerstone Academy came out on top against Riverside Christian by a score of 37-25. Senior Dominick Haight was the offensive standout of the match for Cornerstone Academy, as he rushed for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Haight's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past four games.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Town 'N Country Christian Academy, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 18-62 to Geneva Classical Academy. The state rankings had actually given Town 'N Country Christian Academy a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Cornerstone Academy's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Town 'N Country Christian Academy's loss dropped them down to 0-6. Town 'N Country Christian Academy's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Cornerstone Academy defensive front that amassed six sacks against Riverside Christian, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
