Unity Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily King led the charge by scoring nine points along with five steals. King hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Tae Johnson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Unity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Oakwood Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Unity Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pepperell at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Pepperell is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Oakwood Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
