After four games on the road, St. Francis Prep is heading back home. They will take on the Bergen Catholic Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. St. Francis Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 360 points over their last five games.
St. Francis Prep is ranked highly in their home state, and back in December of 2023 they took on another highly ranked team in the form of St. Mary's. St. Francis Prep fell just short of St. Mary's by a score of 77-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (57), St. Francis Prep still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Bergen Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Seton Hall Prep on the road on Saturday as they won 59-45. Given Bergen Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Seton Hall Prep is ranked 192nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Francis Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bergen Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
