After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Abraham, Otter Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Burr & Burton Bulldogs. The Otters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Sophie Parker made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
