The Quincy Jackrabbits will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Columbia Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Quincy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
Quincy pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 86-62 defeat at the hands of Omak. The matchup was a close 29-28 at the break, but unfortunately for Quincy it sure didn't stay that way.
Despite the defeat, Quincy had strong showings from Pierce Bierlink, who scored 22 points, and Aidan Bews, who scored 15 points. The contest was Bierlink's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Trevino, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Columbia put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna 77-38 on the road. Columbia might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven games by 29 points or more this season.
Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Columbia, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
