After flying high against Oneonta last Tuesday, Thompson came back down to earth. The Thompson Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vestavia Hills Rebels on Thursday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Vestavia Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thompson will head out to challenge Hillcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Vestavia Hills will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bob Jones at 6:00 p.m. on March 31st.
