When it comes to explaining why Spring Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alijah Adem. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That was a full 37.8% of Spring Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Joshua, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Spring Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are 1-4 when they can't control their own glass like that.
Spring Valley's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for Arbor View, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Spring Valley will square off against Mojave at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arbor View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
