The Sultana Sultans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Academy for Academic Excellence 86-38 on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Sultana as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Sultana's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesse Feinstein, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. That's the first time this season that Feinstein scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leland Price, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals.
Sultana's victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.
Sultana and Oak Hills will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oak Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 matchups -- so hopefully Sultana likes a good challenge. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m.
